The Problem
Following significant water ingress at the historic Tocal Homestead in the Hunter Valley, several internal areas were impacted by excess moisture. With the site holding heritage value, immediate intervention was required to prevent long-term structural or material damage and to halt the potential growth of mould and mildew.
The Solution
AirXpress Hire was engaged to support the restoration efforts by supplying a targeted range of drying and air-quality equipment. This included:
Industrial Dehumidifiers – for high-capacity moisture removal across the affected areas.
Air Scrubbers – to cleanse the air of contaminants and maintain safe indoor air quality during restoration.
Carpet Blowers – to accelerate surface drying on flooring and underlay, ensuring a faster recovery.
All equipment was delivered and deployed promptly to align with the restoration team’s timeline, enabling efficient on-site coordination.
The Challenge
The heritage status of the Tocal Homestead meant that every action had to be carried out with care to avoid disturbing its original features. Restricted access in certain sections of the building required careful planning for equipment placement. Our team worked closely with restoration professionals to ensure optimal drying performance while maintaining the integrity of the property.
