The Problem

Versiclad required a temporary cooling solution for one of their production units in Moorebank to combat rising temperatures and ensure a comfortable working environment for their staff.

We provided and installed a 6.5kW portable air conditioner tailored to meet the cooling requirements of the production unit. Bella Vista Hotel Club – Evaporative Coolers

Problem  

Bella Vista Hotel Club needed to enhance the comfort of its outdoor seating and event area during peak summer. High temperatures and a lack of airflow discouraged patrons from using the space, impacting the club’s ability to host events and maximize its capacity during busy periods.

Challenge  

The outdoor venue featured multiple zones, including a dining area, bar section, and lounge. Cooling these areas required a solution that was powerful yet portable, energy-efficient, and capable of maintaining the venue’s upscale ambiance. The units also needed to be discreet and operationally quiet to avoid disrupting the guest experience.

Solution  

We provided 3 high-performance portable evaporative coolers, each delivering 2500L/s of cooling airflow. The units were strategically positioned to create consistent temperature reductions across all outdoor zones, lowering the ambient temperature by up to 8°C.

To seamlessly integrate with the venue’s elegant aesthetic, the coolers were placed behind decorative panels, ensuring they remained unobtrusive while delivering maximum performance. The system enabled Bella Vista Hotel Club to provide a comfortable environment for guests, boosting patron satisfaction and increasing outdoor area utilization during summer events.

40th Birthday Party – Evaporative Coolers

Problem  

The client wanted to host an outdoor 40th birthday party in Sydney during the peak of summer. However, the intense heat and lack of natural shade made it difficult to create a comfortable environment for guests to enjoy the celebration.

Challenge  

The venue was a large backyard with limited access to permanent cooling systems. The client needed an affordable, temporary solution to cool the party area effectively, without excessive energy consumption. Additionally, the cooling units had to be safe around children and easily blend with the party’s aesthetic.

Solution  

We supplied 2 units of portable 2500L/s Evaporative Coolers, strategically placed around the venue to ensure even cooling across the entire space. The evaporative coolers provided a refreshing breeze, reducing the temperature by up to 10°C.
This allowed the guests to comfortably enjoy the festivities, including dining, dancing, and speeches, despite the scorching summer heat.

Quay West Motor Room

The Problem 

The motors to a lift at Quay West Suites Hotel malfunctioned due to overheating as the air conditioning unit had broken down.  

The Challenge 

The client needed a product which required little, if any attention, whilst operating. Additionally, it was evident that it would be necessary for mechanical staff to have maximum access to machinery for repairs and maintenance  

The Solution 

Our 6kw units were perfect for this situation as they not only provided strong cooling solutions, but also self evaporate thus eliminating the need to empty water storage. Also, the 6 k/w units are more compact than the traditional 5k/w units which meant greater accessibility to machinery. The result was that the units provided efficiently kept the temperature down to a level which allowed the lift motors to operate whilst the in house air conditioning was repaired.

The Problem

CO2 dry ice block making machine was breaking down as a result of humidity in the air condensing within the machine. This water then dramatically effected both the electronics and mechanical functions of the equipment causing the machine to seize up.

The Challenge

To reduce condensation within the machine without increasing the ambient temperature.

The Solution

The first option was to try to dehumidify the area around the machines. However it was decided that the dehumidifiers may in fact raise the ambient temperature which would have affected the quality of the product being produced. It was then decided the best approach would be to have a constant air flow through the machinery from one of our portable air conditioning units.

The Result

AirXpress Hire was able to use one 5kW air conditioning unit to perform the task of moving cool air through the affected areas of three machines which meant the machinery operated successfully through the summer period. 

As has always been the case, AirXpress Hire not only provided the best possible solution but also treated the problem as an urgent priority.

The Problem

When a Hollywood blockbuster movie comes to Sydney to film the next Alien series, sequel to the series then we were contacted by costume and special effects department. To help with cooling of the productions sets and control the humidity inside their costumes. Fingers crossed that it will be good movie as the previous series 😉

The Challenge

Filming during hot temperatures is difficult enough, however the use of heavy, hot costumes create new challenges.  

The Solution/Result

Portable aircon units were used to cool staff with portable dehumidifiers used to dry costumes.
