The Wet Pendulum Slip Resistance Friction Tester is the world leading instrument for accurate slip resistance measurement of pedestrian flooring surfaces. This device also assesses the risk of slipping in wet conditions (water contamination) when it measures the frictional resistance between a rubber slider mounted on the end of a pendulum arm and the test surface.
National slip resistance measurement standards in many countries rely on the pendulum device.
FEATURES
This instrument essentially comprises a metal boot with a spring loaded rubber slider on the bottom that swings down and slides across the surface. The boot swings back up, in which the height it swings back up tells us how slippery the flooring surface is. The more slippery; the higher the pendulum swings back up.
